The Golf

Alt Controller

Instead of traditional controls, the game uses a manual LEGO crank connected via Arduino. Players rotate the crank to simulate a golf swing, and a spring ensures it returns smoothly after each turn. This physical interaction adds a intuitive layer to the gameplay, making the digital experience feel hands-on.

Game setup

The Golf is a digital mini-golf game that plays out across multiple floating windows on a computer screen. Built in Processing, the interface creates a playful and spatial experience where the ball and goal appear in separate windows. The game provides visual feedback like a stretching ball window to help players gauge shot strength and navigate the challenge.

Main Mechanic

Players adjust the force of each shot by how much they turn the crank. The motion directly translates to the ball’s distance, creating a clear, natural mapping between action and outcome. Success depends on judging distance and applying just the right amount of force—merging skill with sensory feedback.
